Role: Infrastructure Upgrade/ Data Center Refresh, NOC/SOC Support and 24X7 IT Application Support
This Infrastructure Upgrade/ Data Center Refresh Project consists of 3 phases (P1: Primary Data Center (Completed), P2: Secondary Data Center, P3: Headquarters and Remote Sites). During this project, E.K. Associates was responsible for reviewing and updating the architecting the network architecture and applying those configurations to the equipment. Upgrading the physical servers, storage, network – router, switches, firewall, load balancer, internet and network circuits, power distribution units, back up units at all locations. Update software and related configurations in the environment for VMware and VEEAM. Accurately license the environment for all software – VMware, VEEAM, Windows Server Operating Systems. Consolidate network resources to reduce the data center footprint. Migrate all virtual and physical servers to new hardware. Decommission the old hardware and deploy equipment into secondary data center. Develop Disaster Recovery and High Availability configurations and implemented and tested procedural, architectural diagrams and system configuration documentation and knowledge transfer and training SCAG staff. Upgrade aging infrastructure and re-architect to meet redundancy, stability and recovery best practices, while decreasing SCAG’s data center footprint. Provide 24×7 SOC, NOC and ServiceDesk support including complying with SLA’s.
