Project: Project Management Support

Role: Program Management/Project Controls Specialist

E.K. provides Project Management support for the Information Management Technology Group – PMO at LAWA for numerous projects.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Working with LAWA Project Managers to prepare work breakdown structures
  • Obtaining the timeline for work packages
  • Managing project schedule and work packages in the Clarity and MS Project scheduling tools
  • Developing detailed baseline schedules
  • Attending project meetings to ensure task completion
  • Supporting multiple LAWA PMs by performing project schedule updates
  • Maintaining & updating PMO project schedules weekly and master schedule monthly
  • Reporting on late milestones and risk/issues/scope change impacts to schedule for resource management
  • Developing, updating, and reporting on PMO portfolio master schedule and managed interface points between projects
  • Planning contingency buffer and perform schedule forecasts to minimize the effects of task delays
  • Performing critical path monitoring and analysis
  • Maintaining the master project schedule
  • Following best practices in project management, outlined by industry standards such as the Project Management Institute Book of Knowledge.
