Client: Port of Long Beach (POLB)
Project: Security Management Platform Enhancements
Role: Project Management, Network Redesign and Simplification
Our team provided a unique offering of network simplification with a focus on NIST 800-53 and integration of security controls. We also redesigned and implemented a new network as well as provided Cybersecurity Assessments, a Network Vulnerability Assessment and support at the Network Operations Center (NOC).
We deployed approved products and followed guidance and best practices compliant with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (FedRAMP), and implemented security controls and security baselines that made the POLB network cyber secure. A highly proficient and deep team of professionals with CCIE and CISSP-ISSAP certifications were certified to work with the proposed hardware and software that insured there was minimal production impact during the cut-over period.
As part of this initiative, we provided services, materials, equipment and expertise to install and configure network devices, operation platform hardware, software enhancements and modifications to the network architecture to improve security operations. As part of the network enhancement we provided highly scalable and state-of-the-art hardware and software that improved the overall system performance. Our primary goal was to maintain a 24×7 operational capability at JCCC while improving the routing and its hardware, increasing JCCC operation capacity, expanding the Port’s data storage capabilities, and reducing the cost of system maintenance. Our mission was to provide comprehensive technology-based services with an assurance of quality, integrity and commitment through our people, abilities and processes.
